ABOUT THE SPEAKER 

I am Yamisa Freeman, the owner of Accounting Support Services LLC and a tax accountant.

Since America's small companies are the real foundation of our communities, I want to make sure they continue to stay legal while taking advantage of all the financial opportunities presented by the modern economy. I opened my accounting firm in 2011 while raising my kid alone as a single mother in my home in Oklahoma. Although it was never my dream, this trip has been essential. I battled with arithmetic my whole life which led to a learning handicap when I was younger, so it was only by God's grace that I was able to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a double minor in management and marketing and go on to receive my Taxation Accounting Certifications. I've been able to reach several milestones, accomplishments, and but I do not take the Glory, I give it all back to God. As of today, Accounting Support Services in co- Operating in 5 states.

I currently live in Fort Worth, TX. When I am not working, I devote my time to outreach ministry at my local church as well as staying involved in community social groups.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area, May 18TH, 2024 - The highly anticipated AAALAC- African American Authors Literacy Awareness Campaign is thrilled to announce the exciting comeback of the Original Chasing Your Dream Book Tour & Expo. Created by visionary Angela Thomas (Smith), this groundbreaking event has been an empowering and uplifting platform for authors of color for the past seven years.

Since its establishment in 2016, AAALAC has been dedicated to bringing attention to the incredible talent of Black and Brown authors across America and around the world, while simultaneously fighting against illiteracy on a global scale. Through the Chasing Your Dream Book Tour & Expo, which includes events like Dinner with an Author, Brunch & Books, and Poets in Da Park, AAALAC sets out to equip authors with the essential tools and knowledge to thrive as successful Authorpreneurs, going beyond the traditional roles of being mere vendors at events.

At each tour stop, attendees can expect a diverse range of enlightening break-out sessions featuring expert panelists in various fields. These sessions cover a wide range of topics including branding, networking, marketing, podcasting 101, and more. By attending these sessions, authors and small business owners will gain invaluable insights to take their authorship and businesses to new heights. From building a strong speaking presence to mastering podcast hosting and receiving personalized coaching, these transformative events offer authors and small businesses the opportunity to be educated, empowered, and encouraged to surpass their current limitations.

After a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, we are thrilled to announce that the Chasing Your Dream Book Tour & Expo is back and ready to make an impact once again. Our mission is to educate, empower, and encourage the next generation of readers and writers. We are determined to create excitement about reading and community involvement.

As I had my first battle with Thyroid Cancer in 2021, I just started doing things I dreamed of. I hosted several educational events and a successful Cancer awareness breakfast with an associate of which we honored the many types of cancer warriors. No doubt the most challenging thing in my life has helped me become the most successful. Today after round 2, and being hospitalized for over 20 days, from complications of this Thyroid cancer journey I am looking forward to my next chapter and would love to share my story. Outside of hosting, here are several nooks I've self-published, available on AMAZON.COM and local and a few DFW libraries and bookstores.

My first novella: Holding on with both hands. Speaks about a young girl surviving this world to become a woman, adults only, RAW REALITY- FICTION. 

2. TAKE HEED - The Southern Soul with a northern appearance cookbook including survival skills geared towards young adults. 

3. A journal

 Michael Guinn  is an East Texas native who holds a masters degree in social work and has dedicated his life’s work to improving the lives of others suffering from child abuse and mental health issues. 

He used poetry and spokenword to help him heal from childhood trauma and that gift soon blossomed into powerful testimony. And the rest is history. He has since been twice nominated for Texas Poet Laureate, is a 2 Time National Poetry Slam Finalist, Toronto International Poetry Slam Champion, and is a multi published author and poet.

 He has recently been nominated for two national spokenword awards and is also a Irma P Hall Black Theatre Award winning actor who is currently featured on numerous independent films and commercials. This man has more than 25 years of coordinating and hosting upscale open mics and national level spokenword showcases. 

Currently he hosts 7 ongoing open mics and because of his boundless energy and dedication to the arts, he is nationally known as THE HARDEST WORKING MAN IN POETRY”. Not only does he build platforms that boost black businesses but also uses these safe spaces to promote social awareness, community, culture and tackles tough topics creative self expression.

From day one I had to overcome! I am the youngest of my parent's three children and our family was very dysfunctional. I entered this world with the umbilical cord around my neck choking me.

I was molested, and many other altercations that would’ve stunned the growth of most. Believe it or not, all of these things have empowered me to become the motivational speaker set before you!

To date, my relationship with God has enabled me to travel the world speaking my truth and empowering others to do the same. Leaving the message never a victim but always an overcomer.
